We are a church on mission.
At Ground Zero, we are a church dedicated to putting action behind our mission and vision. We do this through 3 primary pillars -
We have created our mission and vision to align with Acts 2:42, which models the fellowship of believers - "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer". The design, similar to a guitar pic, is meant to serve as an illustration that when we carry out these 3 tenets, we can become more effective instruments of God.
- Engaging our faith through devotion to prayer and service.
- Connecting our faith through devotion to fellowship.
- Cultivating our faith through devotion to teaching of the Word.

Our Mission:
To make Christlike disciples by starting new congregations.
Our Vision
Get to know more about what makes us different.

When the Metaphorical Bomb (SIN) goes off in the city. When people are hurting, addicted and afflicted, we are the church that runs in and meets there. That is why we call ourselves the church at Ground Zero. We want to do more than just show compassion towards people. We want to bring the church to them and do life with them. We are one church with multiple congregations. We are on a mission to make Christlike disciples in our city. We are doing this by starting new congregations that meet throughout the city in rented facilities. We have a goal of starting 100 congregations before Jesus comes back.
What is a Ground Zero Church?
A Ground zero congregation is not as complicated as you may think. We believe that a Ground Zero congregation is created by a group of people when they are CONNECTED, ENGAGED in prayer and service and CULTIVATING spiritual growth by the teaching of the Word. We meet in rented facilities around the city and some congregations meet online.

Nazarene Missions International (NMI)
Virginia District NMI wants to spread a message of hope and compassion, believing a single action can make a difference in a community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. The NMI team activates this mission through numerous advocacy and outreach activities designed to commission, equip, and support missionaries throughout the world. In addition, the team endeavors to amplify this work by: encouraging people to pray for the evangelistic work underway, creating awareness of how the church can meet the needs of the world, inviting children and youth to learn more and actively participate in these efforts, and raising funds for missions outreach.
